A foundational class where your child will learn the basics of fine art including sketching, drawing, and painting from an experienced instructor. Hands-on activities will provide multiple creative, aesthetic, and enriching experiences.
Your child will be given the foundations of good vocal technique: proper breath support, diction, intonation, and much more. Time will be devoted to singing in rounds, canons, and 2- to 3-part songs. Students will also enjoy games and activities grounded in music theory.
Rhythmic accuracy, hands-on percussion experience and practice in reading a musical score will all be a part of this class. Not only will your student use a variety of percussion instruments, but he or she will learn to read music from experienced instrumentalists.
An introduction to the world of the dramatic arts through improvisation, dramatic reading, mime, and other techniques used by actors to develop their craft. Children will develop greater self awareness, as well as an understanding of the basics of human communication and the way the world around them works.
